Mira Zwillinger Spring 2016 Bridal Collection

One of my dear sisters got engaged over the weekend and lets just say I have weddings on the brain! I paid extra attention to the collections shown at Bridal Fashion Week in NYC this week as I cannot wait to go dress shopping with my sister. I absolutely adore this backstage glimpse into the Mira Zwillinger Spring 2016 Collection. The ornate setting of the show beneath crystal chandeliers made the intricate beading on the dresses sparkle brilliantly.

M.D.S. Stripes

No one does classic stripes quite like Mark D. Sikes. From his well-read blog to incredible interiors, Mark's impeccable taste comes through in everything he touches. Thus, I was absolutely delighted when I found out that he was starting his own women's apparel line, M.D.S Stripes, which celebrates his lifelong love affair with blue and white. The classic pieces exude his admiration of the All-American lifestyle. I am particularly fond of the custom box pleat ball skirts made from men's haberdashery fabrics. 

The brand officially launches this Thursday online! Be sure to follow the instagram account @mdsstripes for a bevy of blue and white beauty!

Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15

Karl Lagerfeld took his Paris-Salzburg Collection on the road, when he debuted it in New York City just this month. The show, which featured incredible pieces infused with Austrian influence, brought out the who's who in fashion. Photographer, Jamie Beck did an exquisite job capturing the elegant night.  If you weren't able to get the invite this time, you can catch a glimpse of this magical evening here.

What a Wedding Weekend

The Capri wedding of fashion plate, Erica Pelosini to shoe designer, Louis Leehman can be perfectly described in one word... BEYOND. With a spectacular setting and glam guest list, the wedding weekend was filled with extravagant events from start to finish. But, what took the cake was the fashion infused into the weekend ... from the custom Mary Katratzou floral dresses given to the bridesmaids for the poolside brides lunch to the Louis Leeham espadrilles inscribed with the wedding date given to each guest. Oh, yes AND the brides incredible Emilio Pucci gown. What is even better is its all perfectly captured by photographer Jake Rosenburg of The Coveteur. That's Amore.

Sophie Hunter's Wedding Gown Reveal

Sophie Hunter and Benedict Cumberbatch wed in a private ceremony in England just over two months ago. But, Sophie's incredible wedding gown designed by Valentino was revealed to the public on Instagram this week in a photoshoot she did for Vogue. The ethereal gown perfectly flatters her growing baby belly and is beautifully unconventional with its soft grey hue. I cannot get enough.

Cashmere Care

After thinking about all the toxins involved in dry cleaning, I began washing baby Beau's cashmere by hand. Herve Pierre at Home

After using a photo of Herve Pierre's bedroom as inspiration this week for my post on gingham, I became fascinated with the rest of his NYC home and just felt I needed to share it with you all. It is no surprise that the Creative Director for Carolina Herrera has impeccable taste and his French roots certainly come through in every inch of his apartment. The drapery and details are just beyond gorgeous.

This custom designed wedding gown worn by a bride in Australia is truly one of the most gorgeous I have come across in a while. From the shape of the back, to the intricate beading and detail on the fabric, and the contrast ribbon ... it is simply stunning. Unfortunately, I have no idea where the bride had this made but thought it was beautiful inspiration to share.
