Perfect Princess Di

I have most certainly been on a Princess Diana kick after watching the latest season of The Crown. I recently started reading this book about her life (which I cannot put down) and I was reminded of this editorial featured in Paris Vogue in April 2018 inspired by the Princess. It you have not seen it in it's entirety, it's truly a treat.

Kilte Collection

I am always so inspired to watch empowered women and mothers follow their dreams and start incredible new companies. Thus, I am delighted to introduce you to Kilte, a gorgeous knitwear brand that I am seriously smitten with. Each beautiful piece was designed with the modern woman in mind who embodies more than one thing - whether that's a mother, a partner, a friend, or colleague. The sustainable, luxury knitwear is just as beautiful, smart, and multi-dimensional as the women who wear it. Personally, my favorite piece is the Ruthie Cardigan {shown above}, which was actually named after a dear friend and former colleague of mine ... making the sweater that much more special to me. This cashmere Hannah Duster is also dreamy and I cannot get enough of the new strawberry colorway they just released. Sweaters just got sweeter and smarter.

Gifting for a Good Cause

I am absolutely delighted to have partnered with Modatrova this holiday season to put together a curated gift guide of my favorite pieces from their website to benefit Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. The cause is truly near and dear to my heart as the hospital has provided incredible care to my daughter throughout her life. It is one of the leading children's hospitals in the world, yet what makes it even more special is that it is a non-profit hospital meaning that {thanks to generous donors} no child is ever turned away from treatment or care they need due to financial circumstances. Use the code "CAITLIN" at checkout on Modatrova and 10% of your order will go directly to the Lucile Packard Foundation. It is lovely to be able to buy gifts during the holidays while also making a difference to children and families who are truly going through so much.

They just recently expanded their business by offering orders through instagram DM. All their styles are made to order and made to measure. You are able to pick from an incredible array of styles and fabrics. I absolutely cannot get enough and am excited to order a few pieces for myself (thinking the top above in both this print and classic crisp white poplin).

Dressing for the Holidays

This year the holidays may be different, but I am still planning on dressing my children in traditional Christmas looks. For the past three years I have gotten my children's holiday outfits from Daniel & Sofia (truly one of my favorite shops!). They always have a beautiful selection of brother-sister looks and I tend to gravitate towards the classic velvet pieces in crimsons and reds. Here are a few of my favorite looks for this year ....

Grace has this velvet dress in Ice Blue (I adore it!) and she will be wearing it in Red this year. If you have a baby girl it has the most darling matching bubble , and this classic short set for boys.

Last year, my children wore these gorgeous burgundy pieces and I loved the richness of the color in velvet. I adore this long sleeve dress for girls, or this bubble for a baby girl and this short set for baby boys.

And lastly, if you celebrate Hanukkah these ice blue velvet styles would be absolutely gorgeous! This dress for girls is one of my favorite of Graces, and it has matching shortalls for baby boys and clean shorts for big brother.

Happy Holidays!

Memo

There is truly nothing quite like a hand written note. Thus, I was delighted to discover the newly founded bespoke stationery brand, Memo. Based in the UK and founded by former jewelry editor (and mother of two!), Alice Edwards, the pieces are absolutely exquisite with their elegant calligraphy and hand done watercolors. You can customize your stationery with an impeccable assortment of colors and combinations. I have a set of these personalized notecards (in ballet with my initials in olive) that I absolutely adore and next I want to get a set of the writing paper (how stunning is this blue?!). The timing of this launch is quite perfect just before the holidays as a set of this stationery would truly make a wonderful (& thoughtful) gift for any woman in your life.

Something Borrowed

I was awe-struck by the gorgeous photos of Eunice Kennedy Shriver in her grandmother's Dior wedding gown for her intimate nuptials  in Florida. The dress was beautifully preserved and updated with a custom strapless bodice. In the past 67 years, the dress had aged into a French Vanilla ivory, which I think made it even more striking. What a truly special "something borrowed". See more of this lovely day on Vogue.Com.

Seriously Smitten with these Slippers

I recently came across this gorgeous new slipper brand, Olivia Morris at Home, and to say I am seriously smitten is an understatement. I have truly never felt compelled to buy slippers until now {but don't you think for a second that I won't also be wearing these out of the house}. I am particularly fond of the Daphne style and cannot even begin to decide my favorite colorway between the grey, cornflower blue, or green. Handmade in Spain, the details are absolutely impeccable. There is truly no place like home ...

AERIN'S ENTERTAINING BEAUTIFULLY

Aerin Lauder has long been one of my ultimate style icons. Thus, I was truly excited when her new book, Entertaining Beautifully, arrived on my doorstep just last week {I had been anticipating it for quite some time as I pre-ordered it months ago}. I quickly made myself a cup of tea and sat down to devour every page. The book is a gorgeous glimpse into her marvelous world of entertaining and teaming with tips, tricks, and endless inspiration. It is most certainly a must-read.

Minnow Resort '21

You all know well by now that minnow is most certainly my favorite children's swim brand. Today, they launched their Resort '21 Collection and it is absolutely magical. I am already day dreaming about my children running around in these suits come Spring. The prints and color palette are pure perfection. There are so many darling suits it is actually quite difficult to pick my favorites but I think this time around for my children I am going to get this and this for Grace and these trunks for the boys. Sunshine awaits!

Can't Get Enough

I spotted this chic image on Lauren Rubinski's instagram this week and I couldn't get enough of it! I think I can say with certainty that it truly serves as my favorite Fall inspiration yet {I'm imagining crisp white straight leg denim on the bottom}. I dug in a little deeper to think about how to achieve the look and found that Rubinski's jewelry is currently available on Moda Operandi. This necklace is perfection, but I also love this necklace and this bracelet as more affordable options.  And as far as the cashmere sweaters, these simple crew neck's from J.CREW are perfect and the price is so reasonable you might as well buy two to put one around your shoulders. Seriously chic.

Bows & Blue

Today my inspiring friend, Emily Hertz of Born on Fifth, launched her latest lovely venture, a beautifully curated shop, Bows & Blue. The name is perfectly descriptive of the darling products she both curated and created. From pretty paper products to lovely linens and more this shop is sure to make you swoon if you are a Grandmillennial at heart. My absolute favorite piece in the collection is this hand painted straw basket with liberty wrapped handles (does it get any better?!). And don't fret darlings, if she is sold out of something you have your eye on, simply put yourself on the notification list and almost everything will be restocking soon!

Poppy for Mrs. Alice

I am constantly swooning over Mrs. Alice's latest tablescapes. She serves as my utmost inspiration when it comes to entertaining and I absolutely adore her latest collaboration with style icon, Poppy Delevingne. The collection celebrates their lifelong friendship and is inspired by classic chinoiserie. My favorite pieces are these whimsical prosecco coups, these blush placements & napkins, and these charming palm candle  holders.  Bon Appetit, darlings!

India Amory x Smockingbird Kids

I have long adored the brand, India Amory's beautiful block prints. In fact, I live in their pareos all Summer long. Thus, I was beyond delighted when founder, Julia told me she was doing a limited edition children's collection. She partnered with Smockingbird Kids to create beyond darling styles that combine truly classic silhouettes with her gorgeous signature block prints. I ordered this dress for my Grace and you better believe if I had a baby I would have stocked up on these to-die for bubbles!

Beauty Buys

Recently, I have been getting quite a few requests for my beauty must-haves ... thus, I thought I would compile them all there. I must admit, my make-up routine is quite minimal {I am all about ease and a very natural look}. But, lately I have been trying to take better care of my skin my investing in better products that truly yield results. Here are my favorite beauty buys as of late ...

OLIO E OSSO - Natural Lip & Cheek Balm

TATA HARPER - Illuminating Moisturizer (gives you a gorgeous glow)

DIOR - DiorShow Mascara (a tried & true favorite)

SOON - Mermaid Collagen Serum (obsessed is an understatement)

Put a Little Chic In Your Step

I have long adored Ann Mashburn's impeccably curated shop. Her personal style is the epitome of chic yet undeniably classic. I am so excited to have my first pair of her must have flats for fall, the Buckle Shoe. They pair perfectly with a pair of straight cropped jeans. Mine are navy suede (which I just can't get enough of!), but she has an incredible array of colors (seen here) ... there is truly something for everyone! Put a little chic in your step.
