When I studied abroad in Italy years ago, I remember how fascinated I was with the way Italian women dressed. They do an impeccable job of making extremely simple and classic pieces look undeniably chic. Thus, it is no surprise that during this past week in Milan I was so drawn to the classic street style looks incorporating wardrobe staples like the tride and true trench coat, oxford, and destructed denim. I'd love to re-create these looks with this coat, this top, and these jeans.

From ostrich feathers, to oversized gingham, to ornate eyelet, Oscar de la Renta's Spring 15 Collection incorporated too many of my favorite elements to count. I was in awe of each and every one of the looks that came down the runway and would love to have any of those pieces in my wardrobe. While it is extremely difficult to pick a favorite, I would have to say that dress with the beading and ostrich feathers (shown above) might take the cake. Now I just need an occasion to wear it.

If there are a few things I have learned from the looks on the street during this Spring 15 New York Fashion Week it is that white after Labor Day is certainly acceptable and destructed denim is still relevant. This Fall I'd love to refresh my denim with these destructed skinnies from J.CREW or these from Blank Denim. I love how classic all these looks are - simple and not overdone.
