Carolyn Sieber's Couture Creation

 

You may remember a couple of weeks ago when I posted about stylist, Carolyn Sieber's spectacular wedding. And now I am sure you have also seen it in the September issue of Vogue, which is only fitting for the wedding of year! Well, I just had to have a little spotlight dedicated to her incredible Chanel Couture gown, which was one of the most amazing aspects of the wedding! As a Chanel ambassador, it is no surprise that Carolyn wore a custom Karl Lagerfeld creation. I loved this glimpse that Vogue gave into the process of Carolyn finding her dress... actually THE dress.

dCc Outfit Obsession: Fur Trimmed Coat

I am absolutely smitten with Harper's Bazaar accessories editor, Amanda Weiner's fur timed coat that she wore to Paris Fashion Week in 2011. Upon seeing this image of her, I have been searching for something exactly like it. This gorgeous Max Mara one was the closest thing I could find and lets just say I would love to have it in my closet for winter.

Celine Fall 2013

 My Fall wardrobe is quite inspired by the Celine Fall 2013 Collection. The fit & flare silhouette paired with chunky knits is right up my alley. Although, I must say that I find that I find a shorter length skirt more flattering on me. Lately I have been living in this knit fit & flare skirt and would love to pair it with this J.CREW (Boys!) classic fisherman's sweater.

Must Have: the Maje "Darling" Dress

As if the cap sleeves, fit & flare silhouette, and fabulous knit fabrication were not enough ... I came to find out that this Maje piece was called the "Darling" Dress. It was just too perfect for me to resist! I am beyond happy I made the purchase because this is something that I know I will have in my closet for years to come.

Can't get Enough of this Chic Bride

Because today is my two year wedding anniversary (how fast the time has gone since that magical day!) I just had to post something wedding related. I truly cannot get enough of this incredibly chic bride I spotted on Style Me Pretty in her Lanvin gown (look at the size of that bow!) and ostrich shrug .. absolute perfection.

An Eres Obsession

While in Lake Tahoe this weekend, a friend of mine was sporting this gorgeous Eres bikini. I instantly fell in love with the classic suit and decided that (although Summer is almost over) I might just need one. I think the Mouna Malou is my favorite style, but I would love to get this bandeau top to mix and match with it. These swimsuits are so classic they can truly live in your closet forever. Now, the only question is … do I get black or navy?

dCc Outfit to Interior: Black & White

 

 There is something I love about a black and white checker floor. It is a fun idea for an entry way or kitchen. We even had one as the dance floor in the tent at our wedding! It is no surprise that I adore the chic black and white combination in my wardrobe, as well. As we start transitioning into Fall, I love the idea of pairing skinny white denim with black ankle strap heels and a black cashmere sweater. It is the perfect nod to the season ahead, with a hint of Summer.

Lately, I have really had quite a thing for Barbara Martelo. You may remember her outfit that I posted a few weeks ago here on the blog. She has such a defined sense of style and it is beyond chic. I am so inspired by all the leather pieces she incorporates into her wardrobe and I think I may just need this pleated skirt and this quilted jacket for Fall.

Balmain Resort 2014

The Balmain Resort Collection is the perfect intersection of feminine and edgy. Made for the girl who may be a downtown rocker or an uptown princess. There is something about it that truly exudes a nineties vibe and I must say I kind of love it. I cannot get enough of these three looks with the perfect skirt silhouettes. And that first look shown with the pink large scale houndstooth … let’s just say I want it in my closet NOW!

This past weekend my sister-in-law (truly one of my style icons) and I were talking about what we were excited to buy for Fall. She felt she certainly needed a cape, and I agree! This one from Valentino would be absolutely perfect. I would wear it with everything from destructed denim to a ball-gown.

Vanity Fair's International Best Dressed List

Every year I look forward to Vanity Fair's Annual International Best Dressed List. This year I was absolutely delighted to see the fabulous editorial they included in the issue shot by the talented Mario Testino. Mario turned the Vanity Fair annual ranking of the world's most stylist individuals into a glamorous and exclusive soiree by choosing friends from the "Best Dressed List" roster (which has been running for 73 years!) and invited them to a photo shoot in New York and London. The end result was utterly magnificent .. what else would you expect when you put that many glamorous people into one room?
