I recently came across the beautiful work of British based designer, Charlotte Simpson. The clean lines she uses and unexpected back details make for brides who are looking for that perfect fusion of understated elegance. Her dresses are simple and sleek, but not a tiny bit boring. If fact, I think they are absolutely exquisite. For those of us who will not have the chance to wear a wedding dress again, she also designs other bespoke pieces. Oh, how I would love to wear a dress designed by Charlotte Simpson.

Summer Entertaining

Dior Cruise 2016

This week the Dior 2016 Cruise Show was held at the famous Palias Bulles halfway between Cannes and Monaco. While the show was incredible, I was even more enchanted with all the photos I have seen of the incredible settings of all the events leading up to the show. I was transported to the South of France through Garance Dore's instagram photos. Oh, how I long to be sitting by that stunning sea!

Aerin Lauder @ the Met Gala

It's absolutely undeniable that Aerin Lauder's style is the epitome of effortless chic. I truly envy her closet. Thus, it is no surprise that she has been best dressed at the Met Gala in my book two years running. I came across these stunning photos of her getting ready for the 2014 Gala in her Oscar de la Renta Dress and couldn't resist sharing. She also had my favorite look at the Gala this year in her sleek Michael Kors gown and impactful earrings.

Mira Zwillinger Spring 2016 Bridal Collection

One of my dear sisters got engaged over the weekend and lets just say I have weddings on the brain! I paid extra attention to the collections shown at Bridal Fashion Week in NYC this week as I cannot wait to go dress shopping with my sister. I absolutely adore this backstage glimpse into the Mira Zwillinger Spring 2016 Collection. The ornate setting of the show beneath crystal chandeliers made the intricate beading on the dresses sparkle brilliantly.

No one does classic stripes quite like Mark D. Sikes. From his well-read blog to incredible interiors, Mark's impeccable taste comes through in everything he touches. Thus, I was absolutely delighted when I found out that he was starting his own women's apparel line, M.D.S Stripes, which celebrates his lifelong love affair with blue and white. The classic pieces exude his admiration of the All-American lifestyle. I am particularly fond of the custom box pleat ball skirts made from men's haberdashery fabrics.

Chanel Paris-Salzburg 2014/15

Karl Lagerfeld took his Paris-Salzburg Collection on the road, when he debuted it in New York City just this month. The show, which featured incredible pieces infused with Austrian influence, brought out the who's who in fashion.
