As most of you darlings already know - we are currently in the middle of the Couture Spring 2011 shows in Paris - I am loving the abundance of light neutrals and intricate feminine details.. just gorgeous!
Well darlings, the long-awaited Matchbook Magazine has finally launched! The lovely editors have done a phenomenal job of editing their very first issue and I must admit it is even more fabulous than I expected! (which I honestly didn't think was possible!) One of my fav articles was the "50 Classics for your Closet" - while I already own many of their reccommended peices .. they have also inspried me to purchase a few more (... hello Stubbs and Wooton loafers!) I cannot wait for every issue to come.
Well darlings, today I am extremely excited to introduce a very special guest to dCc - the fabulous Beth of Beth Beattie Events and PR in Palm Beach. This creative event planner can turn every girls dream into a reality and today she put together this gorgeous inspiration board for a romantic chic wedding. She describes where she found her inspiration for this stunning board..
I stumbled upon this ring pillow from Emersonmade when they first came out and loved the simple romantic and floral feel. When I recently saw this Maggie Austin cake featured in Town & Country Weddings, I was in love with the ruffles. Those two finds led me down a flowery, ruffley wedding inspiration journey. The fun Etsy find of the custom shabby chic rose garter adds a unique touch paired with the vintage recycled chandelier. I’m in awe of the creative talent of Karen and Aileen Tran…the peonies and mercury glass are heavenly.
Where else do you find inspiration for your events?
I find inspiration in blogs, such as Amy Atlas’ Sweet Designs, Hostess with the Mostess, Pizzazzerie, The Party Dress and many more. I love getting lost in blog land and then incorporating your own personal touch to an idea or theme.
Last night I got in bed to read my newly purchased copy of Fete: The Wedding Experience, by the fabulous NYC event planner, Jung Lee - and I must say I was completely obsessed and inspired. The gorgeous book gives incredible design ideas for every aspect of your wedding and I reccommend this as a "must read" for every bride-to-be. Love, Love, Love...
Well darlings, first I must admit that I am offically obsessed with the fabulous new online magazine - Ivy & Piper . For those of you who haven't seen it yet, I now consider it one of my must reads! I am equally as in love with the darling designers' collection of pillows - absolutely perfect for any preppy summer home.
Today is a special day as it is one of my dearest friend's birthdays! Although I cannot celebrate with her today, as she is all the way in NYC, I will be thinking of her all day!! Happy Birthday my darling!!
Now that we have offically entered 2011 I feel as though our wedding is quickly approaching.. even though we still have eight months to go! As I continue to go through all my inspiration boards and images I thought I would share with all of you a piece of my color palette a refreshing summer blue. Our save-the-dates just recently arrived and I was able to incorporate this gorgeous color - I am in love! More to come my darlings ...
PS. Two new fabulous wedding finds this week for all your Brides to Be: The Aisle (like Gilt for Brides!) and Style Me Pretty Glossy (our fav wedding blog now has a fab online mag!) Enjoy! xx
